Meet Courtney

Courtney Knepp, is the owner and founder of Knepp Worth Dressage. Courtney has loved horses her whole life. She started riding them when she was five years old in Brackney, PA, where she grew up. When she was 8 years old, she joined her local horse 4H, and stayed involved for the next 10 years learning everything about horses. She started riding western pleasure, then after after a few years switched to hunter under saddle on the flat. Then a few years after that, she added over fences. Also, towards the end of those 10 years she won state champion in driving with her miniature horse, Ben. When Courtney was 15 she acquired a Thoroughbred along with her miniature horse. She did a little bit of everything with AJ. He taught her as much as he taught him.

Courtney attended Lake Erie College, in Painsville, OH. She graduated in 2012, with a bachelors degree in equine entrepreneurship. While at Lake Erie, Courtney really fell in love with dressage. She took dressage lessons with her Thoroughbred. She also competed on Lake Erie's dressage team in her senior year. She was regional champion, and 6th in the whole state.

After college Courtney continued to pursue her passion for Dressage. She trained with Michelle LaBarre, of LaBarre Dressage, for 4 years at her facility in northern PA. The last year she was Michelle's full time working student, with her Spotted Draft, Gypsy. In December, 2016 Courtney and her husband Steve moved to Lancaster County. She met Alex Robertson in March of 2018. She immediately started training with him, and working for him. Courtney trained and worked for him until August 2023. Courtney learned a great amount from Alex. She became a great trainer and teacher, by riding many high quality warmbloods. Courtney owes a high amount to Alex, he helped her immensely.

Courtney's passion is helping every horse move to their best abilities. Help every horse be straight in order to use themselves correctly. She helps the rider to get that straightness and correctness, so horse and rider are in harmony. Any discipline can benefit from Courtney's lessons. She believes riding your horse should be fun! She wants to help you and your horse today. Courtney's motto is "Everyone and Every Horse is Worth it!" She believes that whole heartedly! She wants to make it fun and affordable for riders and horses.
